Accessibility
Statement
Genesis Legal, PLLC believes that everyone deserves equal access to legal information and to our services, regardless of ability. We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience and to continually improving the user experience for people who rely on assistive technologies.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We regularly review our website and work to remove barriers that may prevent people with disabilities from accessing our content and communicating with our firm.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
WCAG 2.1 Level AA is also the standard widely referenced in connection with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for public-facing websites.
To support accessibility, Genesis Legal, PLLC has taken the following measures:
- Built the site with semantic HTML structure, page landmarks (navigation, main content, and footer regions), and a logical heading order.
- Provided a "Skip to main content" link so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass repeated navigation.
- Ensured a visible keyboard focus indicator on all interactive elements.
- Labeled navigation regions, form fields, and interactive controls for assistive technologies.
- Maintained color-contrast ratios that meet WCAG AA for text.
- Honored the operating-system "reduce motion" preference for animated elements.
- Designed touch targets on mobile to meet recommended minimum sizes.
- Keyboard navigation: All pages and interactive elements can be operated using a keyboard alone.
- Screen-reader support: Content is structured with landmarks and headings so screen readers can navigate it efficiently. Decorative elements are hidden from assistive technology.
- Readable text: Body text meets minimum contrast and size requirements, and the layout is responsive down to small mobile screens without loss of content.
- Reduced motion: Users who prefer reduced motion will not see the scrolling announcement bar animate.
- Descriptive links and labels: Links and form fields are labeled to communicate their purpose.
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, some content may not yet be fully optimized for every assistive technology or may not have been independently audited. Accessibility is a continuous process, and we are actively working to identify and resolve any remaining issues.
If you encounter a barrier that is not described here, please let us know using the contact information below. We treat accessibility feedback as a priority.
This website is designed to be compatible with current versions of major web browsers (including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge) and with commonly used assistive technologies such as screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS) and screen-magnification software.
